Yep. It's one of the reasons I mostly burn tealights at night, because they burn themselves out if I forget about them.

I don't think so, but I was pushed into a pool the summer after my senior year of high school and I had a HUGE bruise on my leg for weeks from hitting it on the stairs. It hurt so bad. I also fell into a hot tub once when I was visiting my sister in 2008 when I missed the last step walking into it and fell the rest of the way in. Mouth full of nasty warm chlorine water EWWW!!!!!
