The Harry Potter Series most definitely!

Chinese Cinderella by Adeline Yen Mah

Blood and Chocolate by Annette Kurtis Claus (sorry if that's wrong, its been a while since I read it)

Feed by M.T. Anderson

Claudia the Audacious Escapades of the Sommerset Sisters by Leslie M.M. Blume

The Giver by Lois Lowry

These are all young adult lit type books... sorry if you were hoping for something more "adult"

Le Petit Prince (The Little Prince) by Charles de Saint-Exupery.
On the surface it may seem like a children's book but it has so many adult lessons in it. It's short but really makes you think and addresses a lot of life issues.
If you read it at a young age, try reading it again; you will probably see it completely differently.

I recommend The King's Vixen by Pamela Hill, from what I hear, it's hard to find, but it's worth the search!
I got it from my great grandmother and I can read it amillion times and never get tired of it. You could also check out many of Pamela Hill's other works, she mainly writes Historic ones, but I love History! xD

"a clockwork orange" by anthony burgess.
it's a GREAT book. it's my favourite book of all time, and the movie is great too, although it is pretty graphic.

"great expectations" by charles dickens.
i had to read this freshman year, and i think i was the only one in my class who really enjoyed it. it's such a good story.

"the perks of being a wallflower" i can't remember who wrote this.
it's just great.

"go ask alice" - anonymous
this SUPPOSEDLY the real diary of a girl who did all these drugs and stuff. however, there are rumours that it was all fake. it's a good & quick read, though.

and i know that you'll find, love, i will possess your heart...

encircle me, i need to be taken down
