Put a background on your profile? Just curious ^_^

Yes. You put a Myspace layout in your Self-Overview section. Before the text that's already there, that is!

I find that most of them, though, are plastered with ads. /: When you try to take them away, it completely messes up your profile. That's why I like making my own.

Actually, I find that myspace layouts kind of break your page.

I'd advise using "myspace backgrounds" instead. Those are just the background and don't break your text boxes.

That's probably why mine never worked.
Ah, well. I found one that worked for me anyway. [:

Hopefully.. there will be a special section for you to put in codes very soon.. If I can finish up with a handful of house chores here, and if I feel like working on the site when I get done with them. But these current methods are fine and how you need to do it at this point.

If you replace my image url with the one you want to use,
that should give you a background that doesn't mess with the
tables on your page.
Just replace the "]" and "[" with ">"-thingies.

[STYLE TYPE="text/css"]
BODY, HTML{
background-image: url('http://i34.tinypic.com/2nsm3yw.jpg');
background-attachment: fixed;
background-position: center center;
background-repeat: repeat;
}
[/STYLE]

I tried to use the code that -egocentricity- posted there and put the url of the image I wanted where you put: http://i34.tinypic.com/2nsm3yw.jpg

I think I'm doing something wrong =[ did I paste it in the wrong place or something?

No, it would be the carrots. And paste it into self overview section.

Use the carrots only around:

style type="text/css"

and around:

/style

when you see the squiggly things like this { }
leave those alone, that's part of the original code.

I put this:

[style type="text/css"]
BODY, HTML{background-image: url('http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x123/craz4animegrl95/99-1.jpg');
background-attachment: fixed;
background-position: center center;
background-repeat: repeat;}
[/style]

hoping that it'd work. That's the pic that I'm gonna experiment with just to see if it works and if I don't like it or it doesn't fit how I want it to, I'll just get another one. It isn't really working and I'm not sure why. I put it before the text in my "self overview" box, right? Ha ha, I'm usually good at this HTML stuff >_<

The new feature is up.. More will be added later.. But the basics are up right now:

Edit Profile: Customizations

If you've already done customizations, pretty much just transfer them over.. But if you don't, no big deal either.

Adding your code to this area will make it take affect on your profile, journal, friends, survey, poll, and quizlet pages. (the ones within your profile).
