For all the men & women that died today lets just say a few words about this day. If you have any feelings about this day go ahead & type away.

If you know of anyone that died on this day & you want to say something to them that you can't anymore go ahead.

For anyone that has someone in the war right now & want to wish them luck & make sure they come home safe go ahead.

Say what you feel, just please I ask keep it appropriate.

Thanks & God Bless!

Last night I could see the two towers of lights from my balcony.
Hm. At least from being here, I feel like we should have off today..
(makes me think of unrecognized tragedies throughout history..but that's another story.)
A everywhere every day.

I think the US just wants to put that tragic event in the past and if people had somebody who died in the tragedy/etc... they can take off work or school to mourn.

My uncle actually died in it..I can't remember if he was in one of the towers/planes/Pentagon seeing as I never heard the whole story. I only met him once or twice so it wasn't too big of a deal to me, but now that I look back on it and I hear stories about him, it hurts a little more.

Aw, I'm sorry Wendy. I know I didn't have anyone personal die in it but just knowing that all those people died kills me.

I have a lot of family who live in New York...My cousin was actually in the city. He told me he watched a lot of the bodies falling and he gets this glazed, freaked out look in his eyes when he talks about it. I think he had to go to therapy for a couple months after it because he would have nightmares.

Aw, this was a good idea.
I'm surprised we don't get school off today, I mean, something tragic happened. And one person at my school mentioned it, and it was my teacher. But to me, it seems like no one really cares anymore.

Anyhow, I wish for the best of the families who were put into this emotional state, and hope they will one day, be able to move on.

I also know people who died in it. I actually don't think we should necessarily get off school/work, but I don't think it should be put in the past...I live in Manhattan and except for the lights there, there's absolutely nothing done to remind people of it.
There are too many tragedies that the world has put in the past by forgetting them and I don't think that's okay.

Too many people have forgotten already. It's good to know some people still care...and remember. :)

I think a lot of people just don't wanna remember it because they feel the war is a waste of time...

I like this thread a lot. None of those people should be forgotten. Ever.

I agree with you guys 100%. No I donít necessarily think school/work should be out but I do think when it is 9/11 they should have some kind of assignment to do about that day. Of course, these guys died for us to be safe. They deserve to be remembered & itís shameful that some just donít care. Iíve heard a few songs & stories about that day I seriously canít help but cry. Most kids lost there fathers. Most wives lost there husbands. Most mothers lost there sons. Most fathers lost there son/daughter. Itís just so sad to see all those people live without a father, brother, son & husband to come home to.

I heard that one story/song where that girl is telling her daddy what she did since heís been gone & just how much she missed him. That kills me because you could feel the emotion.

I just am lucky we have such brave men. I feel bad though because part of me feels like I should have done something. I love America for always doing what is right for ďUSĒ. Thank You & I will always remember!
